Le Croisic-Paris March
Le Croisic-Paris March
In France, a 469 km march between Le Croisic and Paris set off on 21 September 2012. It arrived on 17 October 2012 via Nantes, Angers, Le Mans, in Paris, at the Place du Trocadéro, the very place where, 25 years earlier, on 17 October 1987, in the presence of 100,000 people, the memorial slab was unveiled proclaiming "Wherever men and women are condemned to live in poverty, human rights are violated. To unite to ensure that they are respected is a sacred duty" (Father Joseph Wresinski, founder of ATD Fourth World)).
Gandhi International, in conjunction with other movements, took charge of the organisation and logistics of this march. Gilles Changeon, project officer at Gandhi International, oversaw it with his team, in liaison with the board of directors of Gandhi International.
